Pat Wolfe and Whit Magro

Stronghold founders Pat Wolfe and Whit Magro have steel in their blood. Pat grew up shoeing horses with his father, the venerable Gallatin Valley farrier Tom Wolfe, and Whit’s family builds the indestructible Veeders mailboxes.

The two met as students at Montana State University, and have climbed together in Montana, Wyoming, Yosemite and Patagonia. In 2007, they began welding steel fire pits, and Stronghold was born.

Now with seven employees and a 4,000-square-foot shop, Stronghold has worked with private clients, general contractors and public institutions around the Bozeman, Big Sky and Greater Yellowstone area.
